USM Study Abroad COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
The health and safety of our study abroad students, faculty, and staff are our primary concern. In addition to maintaining the safest possible environment for them while studying abroad, we also have a responsibility to our host communities. Therefore, based on the CDC’s recommendation that travelers be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to traveling internationally, USM is requiring all students and group leaders to be fully vaccinated at least two weeks prior to departure for all destinations. In addition to the positive health impact this will have on the experience, we are also anticipating that host countries, host universities, and local venues may require proof of vaccination at any time. Exemption requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. For questions, email email@example.com.
